CNC Mill Machinist/Programmer:
JB Tool, Die & Engineering is a growing precision machine shop located in Fort Wayne, IN. JB Tool specializes in automation equipment, and low quantity high precision parts for the aerospace and other demanding industries.
Schedule: 1st or 2nd shift availability, shift bonus available.
Pay: $28-$35.50 based on experience

Job Description/Responsibilities
Requirements:
- Primary responsibilities of the position are to manufacture details, prototype and aerospace parts using CNC Mills.
- 5th and 4th axis Makino Mills, 3 axis Haas Mills.
- Applicants must be able to program and set up their own machines. CAM software experience is required.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, manufacturing high precision low quantity parts.
- Applicants must be capable of fabricating parts by interpreting drawings and 3D models.
- Ability to select and order tooling and work holding when required.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, GD&T call outs, and job orders.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper performance.
- Inspect finished products for quality and machine accuracy.
- Ability to adjust machine settings to maintain product quality.
- Responsible for programming, setting up, and running products in an effective and efficient manner.
Required:
- Minimum 5+ years related practical machine shop experience utilizing, but not limited to, knee mills, lathes, and surface grinders.
- Experience reading prints and holding tight dimensional tolerances of 0.0005" or less.
- Ability to use inspection equipment such as mics, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, and others.
- Must have own tools & measuring equipment.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Effective communication skills.
- The candidate must be a self-starter and require little supervision.
- Must be able to collaborate with engineers and other machinists.
Desired:
- Experience processing steels, stainless steels, titanium, aluminum and other exotic aerospace materials.
- Mastercam or other CAM programming experience.
- Hands on mechanical aptitude.
- Problem solving capability.
- Innovative approach to minimize set ups and operations.
