Are you an experienced automotive technician looking to earn extra income? Austin Community College is seeking working professionals to teach evening automotive classes on a seasonal, part-time basis.
This is a great opportunity to give back to the industry, mentor the next generation of technicians, and earn $55-$60 per hour without leaving your career.
No teaching experience is required—we'll help you succeed in the classroom.
Applicants must live in the posted city or surrounding area. Current openings are available in Lockhart and San Marcos.
Responsibilities
- Teach evening classes using a combination of lecture and hands-on instruction.
- Demonstrate industry best practices and real-world techniques.
- Evaluate student progress and provide coaching and feedback.
- Create an engaging, supportive learning environment.
- Work with ACC staff to ensure student success.
Qualifications
- Professional experience as an automotive technician or in a related field.
- Passion for mentoring and developing future technicians.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous teaching experience is welcome but not required.
- Must live in the posted city or surrounding area.
- Available to teach evening classes.
