FedEx Ground Delivery Driver Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in route driving and be comfortable operating box trucks. This position requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and the ability to navigate through various environments, including warehouses.
FedEx Ground Delivery Driver Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, including box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload products, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including moving items and organizing inventory.
FedEx Ground Delivery Driver Requirements
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, preferably with courier or route driving experience.
- Strong physical condition with the capability of heavy lifting (up to 150 pounds).
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
