Baker Assistant: Granola Packer/Operations
We are a small batch, ultra healthy and clean granola company in San Diego, and we are looking for someone to help us grow our kitchen operations. We're on a mission to bring light to the food industry and currently looking to expand our team!
What you will be doing in the kitchen:
You will be working side by side with our lead granola baker and will assist her in prepping ingredients, mixing ingredients and loading trays into the oven along with helping clean post-production.
You will also assist in packaging & sealing our granola with our lead packer in-between baking .
Disclaimer: This job is a lot of fun, but it can also be physically demanding and will require you to be able to stand and lift 50 pound boxes multiple times a day. So you can cancel your gym membership because you will burn plenty of calories with us.
What you will be doing on the operations side:
You will assist our lead baker and operations manager. As we prepare to grow and meet fulfillment, we will be developing robust operational systems to scale production, eliminate redundancy, improve cost efficiency, and ensure quality control of batches. Your role will be to help us test and build these systems so that our operation from raw ingredients to delivery to our consumers run smoothly and effortlessly.
What we are looking for:
- People with a passion for organizational efficiency and quality control in food manufacturing.
- Sponge learners and workers with hustle. We really need people who are proactive and know how to keep busy. There is always something to do here.
- Reliability. We share our kitchen with two other companies, and our bake and production days fall on Tuesday and Wednesday, so it is important that you be there on those days and on time.

Hours: Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 to 5. We can work around your class schedule.
Pay: $18 per hour
