Description:
SUMMARY:
The Drafter reviews detailed heat exchanger drawings against customer requirements, in-house design calculations, in-house/standard fabrication requirements, and marks required modifications for correction. The Drafter incorporates the required modifications into the detailed heat exchanger drawings and performs a final check before release to fabrication.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ability to interpret customer specifications and understand method of fabrication outlined in estimate for incorporation into mechanical drawings.

Drafting mechanical fabrication drawings under minimal supervision.

Familiarity with and utilization of ASME/TEMA requirements, normal shop fabrication processes, and proper drafting techniques.

Knowledge of basic material specifications to the extent all information requirements for material purchase, fabrication and construction are reflected on the finish drawings.

Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Requirements:
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Associates Degree in Engineering Technology is preferred or equivalent work experience.

Ability to produce drawings for Heat Exchangers and/or Pressure Vessel.

Knowledge and application of company engineering design and CAD experience (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD 3-D modeling).
-
This position requires 3-5 years of relevant fabrication mechanical drafting and/or design.
