Position Overview
We are seeking a Lead Cook / Prep Cook with a minimum of 5 years of professional kitchen experience.
This position is ideal for someone who is organized, works cleanly, and can confidently assist with food preparation, event execution, and food truck operations.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare food according to Bono Appetit's recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food prep for catering events and food truck service.
- Work on the food truck during public, private, and corporate events alongside the team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with loading and unloading the food truck for events.
- Help with inventory organization, stocking, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of professional cooking or prep cook experience required.
- Experience working in a restaurant, catering kitchen, or food truck preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Weekend and evening availability is required.
