We are hiring a part time Bar Manager for our Tasting Room & Taphouse. Weekends required.
The Bar Manager is responsible for:
- Maintaining morale in staff and keeping a high standard of customer service throughout the Tasting Room and Taphouse.
- Regulating routine meetings with the bar staff to develop and provide a uniform sense of morale and desire to satisfy the customer.
- Overseeing all staff, as well as operations to ensure a high quality experience for all patrons and employees.
- Instilling a customer-centric culture while maintaining an amiable employee culture. Employee engagement is a core function of the Assistant Manager’s role.
Major Duties:
- Manage team and evaluate performance of each individual.
- Motivate team to increase performance; keep employee standards up.
- Maintain facilities and run a bi-monthly facility checklist.
- Supervise all work and workers.
- Attend and moderate regularly scheduled meetings.
Front of the House:
- Train and supervise staff
- Efficient bar operation; open and close store on time
- Maintain FOH checklist
- Focus on overall customer satisfaction
- Work successfully under stressful situations in a fast paced environment
- Improve or add to community giveback programs
- Increase and maintain morale of staff
Operational Specifics:
- Fully understand and adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to health and safety.
- Ensure that proper security procedures are in place.
- Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
- Complete accident reports promptly in the event that a guest or employee is injured.
- Complete related administrative duties.

- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage industry
- Familiar with Toast POS software
- Sound analytical skills (mathematics, organization, etc.).
- Ability to manage people in a high-stress, fast-paced working environment
- Basic to Intermediate level proficiency in office-related software and equipment
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Required Qualifications and Education:
- 2-4 years of relevant management experience
- 2-4 years of bartending experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to use restaurant software
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to carry heavy items, including full kegs, and wine cases daily.
- Valid license required
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServSafe Food handler Certified
- ServSafe or TIPS Alcohol Certified
- Cicerone Certified Beer Server
- Training with wine- WSAT, Master Guild of Sommeliers, or any other kind of wine training program.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
