Knowledge of technical skills for computer input programs and other tasks involving basic computer programs like Microsoft, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of basic typing, record keeping, and filing skills. Skill in communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Skill in planning, organizing, and managing time effectively. Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision.
High school diploma or equivalent required and at least 18 years of age. Some college preferred. Must be a resident of Midland County at the time of employment. Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License. No felony convictions, history of criminal or improper conduct, or poor driving record, which may affect the suitability for law enforcement work. If a candidate possesses military service, he or she must have an honorable discharge.
