At Zaman Mediterranean Fresh, we take pride in serving authentic Mediterranean food made from scratch every day. We prepare our recipes fresh, bake pita bread and manakeesh in our brick oven throughout the day, and are committed to delivering exceptional quality and consistency to every guest.
We're looking for an experienced Line Cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in preparing outstanding food.
Position Summary
This position is a combination of line cooking, food preparation, and operating our brick oven. You'll prepare menu items during service, assist with daily prep, and bake fresh pita bread, manakeesh, and pizzas throughout the day. Every shift is different, and you'll play an important role in every aspect of the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Operate the brick oven to bake fresh pita bread, manakeesh, pizzas, and other baked items.
- Assist with food preparation before each service.
- Work the line during lunch and dinner service.
- Keep your station clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
- Work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Assist with opening, closing, and general kitchen responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of restaurant experience.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Schedule
- Tuesday through Sunday
- Day and evening shifts
- Weekend availability required
- Restaurant is closed on Mondays
