Marine Parts Counter Person – Full Time

Windward Boats is looking for an experienced, dependable, and customer-focused Parts Counter Person to join our team in Kailua.
This is a full-time position working directly with customers, our service technicians, and the Parts Manager to identify, locate, order, and sell marine parts and accessories.
Previous parts counter, parts department, automotive, marine, mechanical, or similar experience is required. Marine-specific experience is preferred, but we are willing to provide marine training to someone with solid parts or related mechanical experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers at the parts counter, by phone, and by email
- Help customers identify and purchase the correct boat, outboard motor, and marine parts and accessories
- Look up parts using computerized parts catalogs and manufacturer systems
- Process parts sales, special orders, and customer transactions
- Work closely with the Parts Manager to locate and order parts
- Assist service technicians with identifying and supplying parts needed for repair jobs
- Receive and verify incoming parts orders
- Process returns, refunds, and order cancellations
- Maintain accurate customer, inventory, and parts information in our computer system
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Help keep the parts department organized and running efficiently
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous parts counter, parts department, automotive, marine, mechanical, or related experience required
- Marine, boating, and outboard motor parts experience strongly preferred
- Experience looking up parts using computerized parts catalogs is a plus
- Comfortable using computers, processing transactions, and performing data entry
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with customers, technicians, and other team members
- Dependable, professional, and willing to learn
