Join our endocrinology healthcare team as a Thyroid Ultrasound Technician, where you will play a vital role in diagnosing and evaluating thyroid conditions through advanced ultrasound imaging. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed ultrasound examinations of the thyroid gland, including identifying abnormalities such as nodules, cysts, or tumors.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound imaging equipment with precision, ensuring high-quality images for accurate interpretation.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the exam.
- Collaborate closely with endocrinologist, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive diagnostic support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedure and assist in efficient record keeping and image retrieval.
- Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and safety protocols to prevent infections and ensure patient safety during imaging procedures.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology, to continually improve service quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sonography or diagnostic radiology with a focus on thyroid required
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to endocrine and vascular systems.
- Proficiency in operating medical imaging equipment
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
- Certification as a registered sonographer (RDMS or equivalent) is required
