Hoekstra Truck Equipment is seeking a motivated and organized Parts & Inventory Specialist to join our growing team. This position is responsible for managing inventory, ordering parts, receiving shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting our production team to ensure jobs stay on schedule. Responsibilities
- Order parts from multiple vendors while monitoring pricing and availability.
- Assist customers at parts counter with their parts needs.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and perform regular cycle counts.
- Stock shelves and organize warehouse inventory.
- Issue parts to technicians and production staff.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed.
- Process returns, warranty claims, and vendor credits.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding backorders and shipping updates.
- Maintain clean and organized parts storage areas.
- Work closely with service, production, and sales departments to ensure parts are available for scheduled jobs.
- Utilize inventory management software to maintain accurate records.
- Manage annual physical inventory.
Qualifications:
- Previous parts, inventory, warehouse, or purchasing experience preferred.
- Mechanical or automotive/truck parts knowledge is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience with inventory management software is preferred.
- Forklift experience is a plus (training available if needed).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Familiar with using online part lookup tools
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic
