Job Summary:
The Front Desk Hotel Worker is responsible for creating a welcoming and positive first impression for guests. This role involves managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, answering questions, resolving guest concerns, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Check guests in and out efficiently using the hotel's reservation system.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries promptly.
- Process reservations, cancellations, and room changes.
- Handle payments, issue receipts, and balance cash drawer as needed.
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Address guest concerns and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate guest records and update reservation information.
- Follow hotel policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards.
- Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience is an asset but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn hotel management software.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
