Primary Responsibilities: We are currently hiring for a Residential Estimator. This position's primary responsibility is to analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for HVAC new construction projects.
Specific Duties & Tasks:

Reviews blueprints, change orders, and associated project specifications and past project data to compile accurate estimates for labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.

Reviews project data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized take-off lists of sheet metal, duct, piping, valves, and associated equipment.

Estimates labor costs by phase based on labor standards and estimates materials/equipment costs.

Uses pre-determined profit factors after all costs have been included.

Draws HVAC design on blueprints and makes changes to same during “red-line” procedure.

Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

Responsible for special projects as requested by management and other duties/ responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position may be considered.

Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience.

Previous experience in HVAC or estimating, preferred.

Self-motivated and detail orientated. Must be able to multi-task, schedule, and prioritize.

Experience with position-specific programs such as Wrightsoft Manual J & Energy Gauge is preferred, but not required.

Computer literate with expert knowledge in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint; working knowledge of all office equipment.

Eligible to legally work in the United States.

Be at least 18 years of age.

Applicable military experience will be considered.

Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.

Ability to thrive in a team environment.
