Position Purpose
The LVN is responsible for:
Providing direct patient care to patients
Supervising care treatment and services of patient care provided by CNA’s
Following an individual plan of care for each patient
Assessment and re-assessment of patients
Communicating appropriate information with the interdisciplinary team
Reporting patient concerns and changes in condition to supervisor and/or physician in a timely manner
Position Requirements
License or Certification:
Current Texas State licensure as a LVN
CPR certification/ACLS certification recognized
Vocational Training and Experience:
One year experience in a comprehensive medical/surgical hospital setting preferred
Critical care experience in a hospital setting preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English
Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions and meet deadlines in a detailed-oriented manner
Ability to communicate effectively in both writing and verbal arenas
Ability to work independently without supervision
