Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage controls.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other testing devices to identify faults or inefficiencies.
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes for safety and legality.
- Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to electrical safety procedures and best practices.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations, repairs, or upgrades efficiently.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members during construction or renovation projects to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an residential or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical systems installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Experience working with industrial electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), high-voltage wiring, and low-voltage controls.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Hands-on experience with electrical wiring in construction sites or renovation projects; familiarity with framing carpentry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to prevent hazards during installation or repair work.
- Valid certification as an electrician; additional certifications related to high-voltage work or specialized systems are advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
