The Kid SpOt Center is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Patient Advocate at our Campbellsville clinic. The perfect candidate should be well organized, detailed oriented and must love kids, especially with a variety of special needs. This person should also love meeting and helping new people. Purpose: To act as a liaison and ensure established relationships with parents to maintain good communication and a clear understanding of their role.
Job Duties:
- Monitor waiting list and update families of status monthly.
- Obtain all subsequent scripts once initial script has expired. Follows up with doctor if the script has not been received within 48 hours and enters case note in Fusion documenting attempt to acquire script.
- Schedules initial evaluation once notification has been received from the Patient Intake Representative; updates waitlist.
- Meets with families at the time of their child’s evaluation to educate the parent on Kid SpOt policies and procedures, including the flex-schedule policy; has signed consents, and has the attendance policy signed. Documents completion of the parent meeting.
- Reviews Insurance Benefits Check accurately with patient’s parent/guardian and ensures complete understanding.
- Scans all patient documents into the patient account including parent/guardian driver’s license, insurance card(s), consents, patient intake sheet, benefits check, child case history, etc.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Computer Skills: General computer knowledge, email, word
- Knowledge of healthcare, pediatrics, insurance and medical terminology preferred but not required

Pay: $15.15 - $23.00 per hour
