Research Technician
Arts and Sciences | Psychology
The Mood and Personality Studies Lab in the Department of Psychology is looking for a Research Technician to assist with conducting a series of studies to better understand resiliency and mood/personality disorders in young adults. We are looking for someone to join our team who can support the day-to-day coordination and implementation of these studies.
Responsibilities of the position include assisting with study setup and implementation, supporting the creation of research materials and stimuli, screening and enrolling participants, conducting data collection sessions, managing participant data, assisting with data cleaning and analysis activities, contributing to manuscript preparation and dissemination of research findings, training and coordinating undergraduate research assistants, and supporting outreach efforts to disseminate findings.
Minimum Education Required
High School diploma or GED

Bachelor’s degree
Required Qualifications
At least one (1) year of relevant experience supporting research with human participants, laboratory, or project-based work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic knowledge of research processes, including participant-based research and data management practices.
Ability to follow established procedures and protocols with attention to detail.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and technological skills; experience with data collection tools or survey software is a plus.
Ability to recognize and resolve routine issues using established guidelines, with guidance from a supervisor when needed.
Desired Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills, experience with data analysis, and demonstrated critical thinking abilities.
Prior experience conducting research with human participants, along with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
The pay range for this job profile is $15.86 - $20.74. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
