Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Enrollment Assistant to join our educational team. In this vital role, you will support the student enrollment process, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective infant/toddler students and maintaining accurate records within our student information system. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in entering data into program database;
- Supports and helps families in completing applications for Head Start Program(s);
- Conducts follow up on enrollment as needed;
- Assists with various recruitment activities within the community;
- Assists in appropriately enrolling special needs children in the Head Start Program;
- Aids in translation activities for families;
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
Ability to:
- Translate written and verbal communication from English to Spanish;
- Work as part of a team and maintain effective relationships with others;
- Learn and apply the policies and procedures of assigned program area;
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions and read and interpret various materials pertaining to the responsibilities of the job;
- Operate office equipment, including a multi-line telephone, computer, printer, fax machine, etc.;
- Organize and maintain filing systems, assemble and analyze information, prepare reports and records in a clear and concise manner, maintain confidentiality concerning client records and operations, and communicate effectively in written and oral form;
- Perform required mathematical calculations quickly and accurately;
- React calmly and professionally in emergency or stressful situations.
Knowledge of:
- Basic principles of recordkeeping and report preparation;
- Proper grammar, spelling and basic mathematics.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent and basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires the ability to exert some physical effort, such as walking, standing and light lifting; minimal dexterity in the use of fingers, limbs and body in the operation of the office equipment; may require extended periods of time at a computer keyboard; requires the ability to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception required for communicating with others.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Normal office environment.
Pay: $18.64 - $19.75 per hour
