Ballast Point Construction is a rapidly growing heavy civil construction company specializing in underground utilities, paving materials, bridges, and infrastructure projects, based out of Katy, TX.
We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Hauler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving and transporting job site materials over short or medium distances, while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Securing loads
- Inspecting vehicles
- Coordinating schedules
- Addressing issues during transport
- Safely operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers.
- Transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Experience operating heavy-duty trucks
- Understanding of load securement techniques
- Ability to handle complex logistical challenges
- Attention to detail
- Experience in route driving and delivery driver roles.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Ability to drive different types of trucks including dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
