About the Position
Beach Lane Management is seeking an Entry-Level Property Manager to assist in managing a portfolio of residential buildings throughout Upper Manhattan. This is a hands-on role that offers experience in building operations, maintenance coordination, tenant relations, construction projects, and property management. The ideal candidate is organized, motivated, and looking to build a career in New York City real estate.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day management of primarily residential buildings throughout Upper Manhattan.
- Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with supers, contractors, and vendors.
- Respond to tenant maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
- Schedule contractors, inspections, and utility work.
- Track building violations, permits, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate access with tenants, contractors, inspectors, and city agencies.
- Assist with apartment turnovers and building improvement projects.
- Maintain organized records, work orders, invoices, vendor documentation, and property files.
- Communicate professionally with tenants, ownership, contractors, vendors, and municipal agencies.
- Work directly with management on day-to-day building operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Willingness to travel between properties throughout New York City
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in real estate, construction, or property management.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Detail-oriented and dependable.
- Comfortable working both in the field and in an office environment.
- Eager to build a long-term career in real estate.
