Forklift Operator
Overview
A Forklift Operator moves, loads, unloads, and stores materials using forklifts and ensures strict safety compliance (OSHA).
Key Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts (sit-down) to move, load, unload, and stack goods.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce and follow all OSHA and company safety rules, conduct pre-shift inspections, report hazards, and ensure proper load securing.
- Inventory Management: Accurately track, update, and maintain inventory records using scanners or logs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic upkeep (battery checks, cleaning) and report mechanical issues for repair.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Proven forklift operation experience (sit-down, stand-up, etc.).
- Valid forklift certification.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and load limits.
- Good communication, attention to detail, and teamwork.
- Ability to lift heavy items and work in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
