Solstice Residential Group is a growing NYC-based third-party property management firm specializing in the management of luxury condominiums and cooperatives throughout New York City. With a portfolio of 140+ buildings and a team of approximately 70 employees, Solstice is in an exciting phase of operational growth and organizational evolution.
This role is a key foundational hire for the company’s growing People function. The Human Resources Generalist will play an important role in helping create structure, consistency, and scalable HR operations across the business while also serving as a trusted day-to-day resource for employees and managers.

Position Overview
The HR Generalist will support a broad range of human resources functions including employee relations, recruiting coordination, onboarding, compliance, payroll and benefits administration, performance management support, and employee experience initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring a solid HR foundation, strong operational instincts, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly visible environment. This individual should be organized, adaptable, polished, proactive, and comfortable helping build and improve processes over time.
Experience within property management, real estate, hospitality, construction-adjacent, unionized, or operationally complex environments is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Support full-cycle recruiting processes for corporate and operational roles
- Coordinate job postings, candidate scheduling, interview logistics, and recruiting communications
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes and maintain employee records
- Support employee relations matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment
- Assist with payroll coordination, benefits administration, PTO tracking, and HR operations
- Help ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws
- Assist in facilitating scheduling and tracking of annual anti-harassment training
- Support performance review processes, employee engagement initiatives, and manager support
- Help improve HR workflows, documentation, and operational processes as the company grows
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Approximately 3–5 years of progressive HR Generalist or HR Operations experience
- Strong foundational knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and employee lifecycle processes
- Experience supporting onboarding, employee relations, compliance, payroll coordination, and benefits administration
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a high level of ownership and accountability
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in property management, real estate, hospitality, construction, or operationally intensive industries
- Experience supporting hourly and/or unionized employee populations
- Experience helping build or improve HR processes within a growing organization
- Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, applicant tracking, and performance management systems
