We are seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This position will be based in our Dewey office, but may be required to work 2 days out of our Cordes Lakes office in accordance with following their assigned provider.
Primary Responsibilities
- Greet patients and ensure efficient patient flow
- Obtain patient history, triage, take vitals, and document in EMR (eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for visits and procedures
- Administer medications, injections, IVs, wound care, and assist with procedures
- Perform diagnostic testing (EKG, pulse ox, peak flow, inhalation treatments, etc.)
- Conduct CLIA-waived lab tests, blood draws, and specimen collection/processing
- Support providers during exams and procedures
- Handle patient callbacks, arrange referrals, schedule follow-ups
- Document all calls and encounters accurately in EMR
- Restock and sanitize exam rooms; monitor supplies and medication expiration dates
- Perform quality checks on medical equipment and labs
- Support front desk and clerical duties as needed
- Assist with onboarding new staff, trainings, and participate in staff meetings
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold clinic standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required
- Current BLS certification required
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Minimum 2 years of medical assisting experience (Primary Care preferred)
- Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR highly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $17–$22 per hour, based on experience
- Paid Time Off: 2 weeks PTO annually (accrual basis)
