Responsibilities
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Follow designated routes accurately while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company policies.
- Deliver freight promptly to customers, ensuring proper handling of sensitive or hazardous materials when applicable.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any issues that arise during route driving.
- Maintain detailed delivery logs, route documentation, and incident reports as required by company standards.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (NON-CDL) with endorsements suitable for the vehicle types operated.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations.
- Comfortable operating manual transmission vehicles and specialized trucks such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks.
- Experience with freight handling, load & unload procedures, and equipment like forklifts when necessary.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo transportation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight and inspecting vehicles regularly.
