Shift: Monday – Thursday | 5:30 PM – 4:00 AM
We are seeking an experienced Paint Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a manufacturing paint department in Gastonia, NC. This role is responsible for leading paint line operations, ensuring production goals are met, maintaining quality standards, supporting employee development, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
The ideal candidate has previous leadership experience within a powder coating, paint finishing, or metal manufacturing environment and understands the importance of quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Supervise daily operations within the paint and finishing department.

Lead, train, and support paint department employees to achieve production goals.

Monitor workflow, staffing, and production schedules to ensure deadlines are met.

Ensure painted components meet quality standards and customer specifications.

Oversee powder coating processes, including preparation, application, curing, and inspection.

Troubleshoot production issues related to paint application, equipment, and workflow.

Perform quality checks and address defects such as coverage issues, runs, sags, or contamination.

Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues.

Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

Promote safety procedures, PPE compliance, and proper equipment operation.

Assist with process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.

High school diploma or GED required.

Previous supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with powder coating, paint finishing, or metal fabrication processes preferred.

Knowledge of paint application methods, surface preparation, and curing processes.

Strong understanding of quality standards and production requirements.

Ability to read work instructions, production documents, and basic blueprints.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Ability to stand and walk throughout the production environment.

Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work around manufacturing equipment, paint materials, and production processes.

Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, respirators, gloves, and protective equipment as needed.
