American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a day shift contract position requiring at least 1 year of experience and left-handed scanning ability.

Echo/Cardiac Sonography unit in an acute care hospital setting
-
Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
-
Every other weekend required for coverage
-
No on-call requirement

Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed

12-week contract

Minimum of 1 year of Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer experience required

Left-handed scanning ability is required for this position

Active professional licensure required if applicable

Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Candidates must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler

Local candidates are accepted for this position

RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work two and may request one holiday off

Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

No alternate shifts or special scheduling requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm

Candidates undergo a clinical screening process to assess fit prior to manager review

Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time
