Description
Under the general supervision of the Director, the Anatomical Preparation Specialist supports the daily operations of the Donated Body Program (DBP) by providing anatomical preparation, technical, educational, and administrative expertise. Ensures the ethical management and regulatory compliance of anatomical materials used for medical education and research.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Procure, prepare, quality-control, store, and allocate anatomical materials for educational and research purposes.

Maintain a perpetual inventory of body donors, specimens, prosections, and related teaching collections.

Manage and maintain records related to the storage, care, distribution, reclamation, and final disposition of anatomical materials.

Provide training and guidance to end users and assist in developing processes for anatomical material requests.

Support the evaluation and prioritization of requests for anatomical materials and assist with overall DBP operations.

Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and University policies.

Assist in maintaining program compliance with system-wide and local University requirements.

Provide oversight of all UCLA and approved off-campus sites utilizing human anatomical materials.

Conduct regular inspections of laboratories and approved locations to ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and standards.
Annual Salary Range: $86,400.00 - $184,800.00
