Join Prysmian in Taunton, MA to architect and execute the site’s Lean strategy through the Prysmian Performance System (PPS). Reporting to the Plant Director, you will drive end-to-end operational excellence across high-volume, high-revenue value streams—where disciplined Kaizen translates into measurable business outcomes.
- Own the site’s Lean roadmap (Hoshin Kanri) and align it tightly to strategic priorities.
- Deliver hard, traceable results across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth.
- Focus improvement where it matters most—constraining processes and critical flows.
- Embed daily management, standard work, and visual systems that sustain gains.
- Coach leaders and teams to think scientifically and solve problems at the root.
- High-impact Kaizen initiatives targeting flow and pull, SMED, TPM, and cost transformation.
- Value stream redesign to compress lead time, boost throughput, and stabilize quality.
- Accountability rhythms and visual management to move from theory to verified results.
- Capability building that turns operators, supervisors, and managers into problem solvers.
- Direct line to the Site Director and leadership team—shape what gets worked on.
- Not a support function: you own the transformation agenda and the outcomes.
- Impact over activity: success is quantified in the P&L and the KPIs.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (industrial engineering strongly preferred).
- 3–5 years in manufacturing with leadership in Kaizen and Continuous Improvement.
- Experienced Lean Black Belt / CI Leader with documented results (cost, throughput, lead time).
- Expertise with Value Stream Transformation; Flow & Pull Systems; Hoshin Kanri; SMED; TPM; Standard Work; Daily Management & Visual Systems.
- Proficiency in Gemba Kaizen, Value Stream Analysis, Visual & Daily Management, Hoshin Kanri, SMED, TPM, Standard Work Development, and 3P Layout.
- Skilled facilitator: 3P, TAKT Time, Standard Work Combination Sheets, Standard WIP, Kaizen Newspaper.
- Clear ability to influence leaders who don’t report to you and to drive behavior change.
- Strong prioritization under fast-paced, multi-project conditions; effective leadership on a site leadership team.
- Lean Master on TPS or Danaher Business System certification.
- Project management success delivering on timelines or adjusting to hit goals.
- Agile certification (e.g., SCALE) and change leadership (e.g., PROSCI).
- Analytics depth: SPC, hypothesis testing, regression, correlation analysis.
- Structured problem solving: 5-Whys, 8D, Shainin.
