Scope of Work: Housekeeper – Hotels
Position OverviewThe Housekeeper will work part-time (potential for full-time) under the direction of the General Manager to ensure properties are maintained to the highest cleanliness and readiness standards. The role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and proactive communication with the management team to uphold property quality and guest satisfaction. The Housekeeper must be able to operate independently with minimal oversight and complete property turns within the timeframe necessary to maintain all existing reservations and tenant schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and reset properties to guest-ready condition, including but not limited to:
- Deep cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces.
- Washing and replacing linens and towels.
- Restocking household supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, toiletries, etc.).
- Checking property for damage or missing items and reporting issues promptly.
- Work with management to understand the time commitments required for each unit to ensure scheduling is accurate and achievable.
- Coordinate with the management team to engage third-party vendors if workload exceeds capacity, ensuring all guest arrivals are covered.
- Ensure properties meet brand and cleanliness standards before guest check-in.
Property Awareness & Maintenance Support
- Act as “eyes on the property” during visits, maintaining situational awareness.
- Inspect units for maintenance needs and immediately report issues to the management team.
- Ensure units remain stocked and functional for incoming guests/tenants.
Logistics & Communication
- Accurately estimate time requirements for each property and communicate with management to ensure coverage.
- Report property conditions, supply levels, and any concerns daily.
- Load company vehicle with cleaning supplies and equipment each morning.
- Maintain organized tracking of supplies used and request restocking as needed.
- Communicate proactively to confirm completed tasks and flag urgent needs.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to handle a variable weekly schedule, especially around weekends.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high cleaning standards.
- Dependability in meeting turnaround deadlines for scheduled reservations.

Performance Metrics
Success in this role will be measured by the following:
- Turnaround Completion: 100% of scheduled unit turns completed on time for guest check-ins.
- Cleanliness Standards: 95%+ pass rate on post-cleaning inspections (guest-ready condition).
- Communication: Same-day reporting of maintenance issues, damages, or low supply levels.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and flexibility to meet weekend/peak schedules.
- Efficiency: Accurate time estimates for unit turns, with minimal need for management intervention.
- Situational Awareness: Proactive identification of property needs before they impact guests or tenants.
Checklist Compliance: Adherence to property-specific checklists to ensure consistency and to enable third-party vendor support when necessary.
Compensation and Benefits:
Daily rate of $100-$140 per day depending on experience. Paid every two weeks in regular pay cycles.
