Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Piano Teacher to join our educational team. In addition to being able to teach piano, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a love for teaching students of various ages. This role involves creating a positive learning environment where students can explore their musical talents, develop their skills, and gain an appreciation for music. The Piano Teacher will work with children and adults, fostering creativity and encouraging participation in musical activities.
Music Teachers drive to students' homes. As such, all teaching staff set their desired hours of work as well as the areas they'd like to teach in. The studio provides a cohesive schedule, where each student home is no more than 15 minutes apart.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging music curriculum tailored to different age groups.
- Teach various music concepts, including theory, performance, and appreciation.
- Conduct individual and group lessons in a variety of musical styles.
- Organize and prepare students for performances, recitals, and competitions.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of music theory and performance techniques.
- Experience in teaching children and adults in both individual and group settings.
- Ability to develop creative curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for fostering a love of music among students of all ages.
- Manage time well, beginning and ending lessons on time to account for drive between student homes.
