Job Summary
Myna Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and energetic Remote Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team in providing services to districts in North Dakota. This position is a long-term leave coverage role, with an anticipated duration through the end of November or mid-December.
In this role, you will provide speech therapy services to pediatric students through a flexible telehealth platform, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while working remotely. Your primary focus will be on assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders within the educational setting, ensuring that each student receives high-quality services and support from the comfort of their school environment.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students using telehealth tools and techniques, ensuring alignment with educational standards and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs, goals, and developmental level, integrating academic objectives and communication skills that enhance classroom participation.
- Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions via secure virtual platforms, utilizing evidence-based practices that promote social interaction and communication within the school environment.
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, teachers, and other school personnel to support student progress, ensuring strategies are consistently applied across home and classroom settings for optimal educational outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy strategies as needed to optimize outcomes, while providing feedback to educators on each student's communication abilities and needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards and school district requirements, ensuring that all documentation supports student learning goals.
- Stay current with the latest research in speech therapy, pediatrics, and educational methodologies to enhance patient care and contribute to a collaborative school culture focused on student success.

Skills
- Proven experience working with children in school or early intervention settings, demonstrating an understanding of the educational environment and its impact on speech and language development.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric speech therapy techniques and developmental milestones, specifically tailored to support students’ academic success and social interactions within the classroom.
- Ability to perform thorough assessments of students’ communication skills, interpreting educational and medical terminology effectively to inform strategies that enhance learning and participation.
- Excellent understanding of the physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing functions, with an emphasis on how these impact a child’s ability to engage in classroom activities and peer interactions.
- Familiarity with educational frameworks, such as Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), as well as the medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and pediatrics.
- Compassionate patient care skills that are specially designed to engage young learners in therapy sessions, fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages communication and confidence.
- Ability to work independently in a remote school-based environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism, collaboration, and responsiveness to the unique needs of students and educators.
