Senior Accountant — Manufacturing Operations

Position Summary
Immersive Structural Technologies is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Controller in managing day-to-day accounting operations at our Grand Rapids manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with broad responsibility across general ledger, cost accounting, AP/AR, inventory, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy and timeliness directly impact plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting packages
- Assist with manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and overhead allocation
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and customer invoicing/collections processes
- Maintain and reconcile inventory accounting across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Track production costs, material usage, labor efficiency, and scrap/waste variances
- Assist with cash flow tracking and bank reconciliations
- Support coordination of external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Assist with ERP and accounting system processes, including Bill.com integration
- Help develop and track financial and operational KPIs
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA or CMA preferred
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Manufacturing, industrial, or cost accounting experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (Bill.com, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills required

Work Environment
Onsite at our Grand Rapids, MI manufacturing facility, with regular interaction with the Controller, plant management, and operations teams.
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
