Job Summary
Paradigm Steel Fabrication is looking for an experienced, dependable Welder to join our fabrication team in Hildale, Utah. This position involves welding and fabricating steel components and assemblies according to drawings, measurements, and job specifications.
The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works safely and efficiently, and has hands-on experience in the welding and steel fabrication industry. Pay will be based on demonstrated welding ability, fabrication skills, experience, and overall skill level.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and/or other welding processes as required for steel fabrication.
- Fabricate, fit, and weld steel components and assemblies.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, measurements, and welding symbols.
- Measure, cut, fit, tack, weld, and finish steel components accurately.
- Prepare materials and workpieces for welding and fabrication.
- Inspect finished welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy.
- Use welding equipment, cutting equipment, grinders, drills, saws, and other fabrication tools safely.
- Maintain accurate dimensions and tolerances throughout the fabrication process.
- Identify and correct fit-up, weld, or fabrication issues when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company safety procedures and proper PPE requirements.
- Work efficiently while maintaining high standards for workmanship and quality.
- Perform other welding and fabrication duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional welding experience in the welding or steel fabrication industry.
- Certified welder with demonstrated welding ability.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, steel fabrication, and shop practices.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, measurements, and fabrication specifications.
- Ability to accurately measure, fit, and fabricate steel components.
- Experience using common welding and fabrication tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of a welding and fabrication position.
