Part-Time Furniture Sales & Design Consultant

Leather Creations Furniture is seeking a motivated sales professional who enjoys helping customers create beautiful and comfortable living spaces. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in furniture, interior design, and consultative sales within a friendly, low-pressure showroom environment.
Leather Creations is a privately owned furniture manufacturer and retailer founded in 1994. Our furniture is manufactured at our factory in Auburn, Georgia, and sold through retail showrooms in the Atlanta and Chicago metropolitan areas.
Although we specialize in high-quality leather furniture, we also offer a wide selection of fabrics and products from other trusted vendors, allowing us to help customers meet a variety of home-furnishing needs.
Position Overview
We are hiring a part-time sales and design consultant for our Kennesaw showroom. After training, the typical schedule will be two to three days per week in Kennesaw, with occasional coverage at other Atlanta-area locations as needed.
Employees in this position will have the first opportunity to be considered for full-time openings at a single showroom as those positions become available.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance.
- Help customers select furniture, leather, fabric, colors, configurations, and design options.
- Meet individual and showroom sales goals.
- Prepare accurate quotes, sales orders, and product documentation.
- Use the company’s point-of-sale system and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Maintain an attractive, organized, and professional showroom.
- Assist with merchandising and product displays.
- Perform basic showroom cleaning and daily opening or closing duties.
- Follow up with prospective and existing customers.
- Collaborate with the corporate team on local marketing efforts.
- Identify opportunities to develop new customers and sales channels.
- Assist with other day-to-day showroom operations as needed.
Qualifications
- A genuine interest in furniture, home design, or interior decorating.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- A professional appearance appropriate for a high-end furniture showroom.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently.
- Ability to learn and use point-of-sale software and Microsoft 365.
- Ability to work at other Atlanta-area showrooms when coverage is needed.
- Previous furniture, interior design, retail, or high-end sales experience is preferred but not required.
- Interior design experience or education is a plus.
Compensation
This position offers a combination of salary and commission, with estimated earnings of $20–$40 per hour, depending on sales performance.
Full-time sales professionals currently earn an average of more than $50,000 annually, while top-performing salespeople and managers can earn more than $100,000 annually. These figures are provided for reference and are not guaranteed earnings for this part-time position.
