Job Summary:
The primary duties of the Housekeeping Supervisor are to provide support to the Executive Housekeeper, provide supervision and direction for all housekeeping activities of the hotel to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained. The Housekeeping Supervisor will ensure staff follows Housekeeping Training Procedures and ensure staff is prepared to provide excellence to our guests and visitors at all times, while actively promoting the Company’s Culture of Caring.
The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all assigned guestrooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to an exceptional standard. The primary work place is located at the hiring site.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Knowledge, understanding, and adherence to Company Core Values, Mission Statement, and Ayres Way.
- Follow company policies as outlined in the Team Member Handbook.
- Receives and reviews list of assigned rooms from manager and prioritizes rooms requesting early cleaning.
- Accurately addresses and completes guest requests.
- Efficiently process and prioritize tasks.
- Follows all DND (do not disturb) guestroom procedures, including notifying Executive Housekeeper or Supervisor on Duty of rooms with DND signs, and rooms that have had DND signs for multiple dates.
- Ensures room meets hotel standards with a final walkaround.
- Maintain confidentiality of hotel guests, team members, and pertinent hotel information.
- Follows hotel procedures regarding linen changes, including replacing all guestroom linens and towels with fresh items upon every check-out or on guest request.
Housekeeping Supervisor:
- Assists with the hiring, training, and supervision of property housekeeping staff.
- Assists with the preparation of work schedule for staff and arrange for replacements in case of absences.
- Plan, organize, and monitor staff assignments to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards set by the Hotel.
- Distribute staff work assignments. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction in assigning housekeeping and laundry staff in details of work.
- Distribute and delegate workload to guarantee maximum productivity and guest satisfaction with minimum outlay of expenses in terms of labor and materials. Monitor house count and make staffing adjustments accordingly.
- Assists with issuance of keys and maintain inventory and security of keys.
- Operate within the established labor standards.
