Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team, dedicated to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for children with diverse needs. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating educational technology and instructional modifications for students with disabilities.
- Lead classroom activities that promote literacy, math, communication skills, social-emotional development, and behavioral health support tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, special education coordinators, parents, and other professionals to design and adjust personalized strategies supporting student growth.
- Monitor student progress through assessments and ongoing observations; adjust instructional methods accordingly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of goals, progress reports, behavior logs, and communication records to ensure compliance with education law.
- Mentor and support assistant teachers or teaching interns while fostering a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and the integration of educational technology.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration and team coordination.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics confidently while maintaining a nurturing environment conducive to learning.
- Montessori Certificate or Montessori trained preferred.
