Days Inn by Wyndham Oglesby is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our front desk team. As the overnight face of our hotel, you'll ensure guests have a smooth, welcoming experience while keeping our nightly operations and financial records accurate and on track.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in/check out guests during overnight hours with friendly, professional service
- Balance daily financial transactions, reconcile cash drawers, and prepare the daily audit report
- Post room charges, taxes, and other guest fees accurately
- Run end-of-day reports and prepare paperwork for the morning management team
- Answer phones, take reservations, and respond to guest requests or concerns
- Monitor hotel security, including making rounds of the property overnight
- Handle guest complaints or issues calmly and escalate when necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk and lobby area
- Run laundry (towels, sheets, and linens) during downtime, including washing, drying, folding, and restocking clean linens for housekeeping
- Assist with light breakfast setup/prep for early morning guests, if needed
- Follow all Wyndham brand standards and hotel policies/procedures
Qualifications
- Previous night audit, front desk, or hotel experience preferred (not required)
- Basic accounting/math skills and comfort with cash handling
- Experience with hotel PMS systems a plus (e.g., OPERA, Wyndham ConnectSmart)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and stay alert during overnight shifts
- Comfortable performing light physical tasks (lifting laundry, standing for extended periods)
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Reliable transportation
