Vacaville Village Senior Living is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven Executive Director to lead our beautiful assisted living and memory care community in Vacaville, California.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished senior living leader who is passionate about creating an exceptional resident experience while building engaged teams, driving occupancy, maintaining regulatory excellence, and ensuring outstanding quality of care.
As Executive Director, you will oversee every aspect of community operations, including resident care, team leadership, financial performance, compliance, sales support, customer satisfaction, and employee development. You will work alongside a dedicated team committed to helping older adults live fulfilling, engaging, and purposeful lives.
If you have at least 2 years of experience leading an RCFE, assisted living community, memory care community, retirement community, skilled nursing facility, or long-term care organization, we'd love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for all aspects of community operations, ensuring exceptional resident care and customer satisfaction.
- Lead, mentor, and develop department leaders in resident care, wellness, dining services, maintenance, housekeeping, life enrichment, sales, and business office operations.
- Ensure compliance with California RCFE regulations and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
- Prepare for licensing inspections and maintain the highest standards of quality, compliance, and resident care.
- Partner with the Resident Care team to ensure individualized service plans and exceptional support for residents in both assisted living and memory care.
- Support programs designed for residents living with dementia, memory loss, Alzheimer's disease, and other cognitive conditions.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, hospitals, hospice providers, home health agencies, and referral partners throughout Solano County.
- Drive occupancy by partnering with the Community Relations Director on tours, outreach, networking, and community engagement.
- Oversee budgeting, labor management, purchasing, financial performance, and operational metrics.
- Recruit, develop, coach, and retain an exceptional team while promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Foster a welcoming environment where residents, families, and employees feel valued and respected.
- Respond professionally to resident and family concerns while promoting continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Executive Director, Assisted Living Administrator, RCFE Administrator, Senior Living Administrator, Healthcare Administrator, Nursing Home Administrator, or Long-Term Care Administrator.
- Current California RCFE Administrator Certificate (or ability to obtain/maintain as required).
- Proven leadership experience within an assisted living, memory care, independent living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care community.
- Strong understanding of California RCFE regulations and senior living compliance requirements.
- Experience managing community budgets, financial performance, staffing, and operational goals.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while maintaining high employee engagement.
- Knowledge of dementia care, memory care programming, resident assessments, medication management, and person-centered care.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze financial reports and operational performance.
- Outstanding communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and senior living management software.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Gerontology, or a related field is preferred.
