We are a busy and growing Ophthalmology practice seeking a compassionate and motivated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team!
At our office, providing exceptional patient care and ensuring every patient feels comfortable, cared for, and valued during their visit is our top priority. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping others, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in creating a positive experience for patients from the moment they walk through our doors.
This position is ideal for someone with prior Ophthalmology experience or for an individual looking to begin and grow a career in the Ophthalmology field. We welcome candidates who are eager to learn, work well in a team environment, and are passionate about delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities Include:
- Performing diagnostic ophthalmic testing, including:
- Visual Fields
- OCT
- Fundus Photography
- Corneal Topography
- Auto Refraction (AR)
- B-Scans
- IOL Master testing
- Performing visual acuity testing
- Measuring intraocular pressure (IOP)
- Preparing patients for examination by the physician
- Accurately documenting patient information in EMR systems
- Assisting in maintaining efficient patient flow while ensuring each patient receives attentive and compassionate care
- Helping create a welcoming, professional, and positive office environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual preferred but not required
- Creole, Spanish, or Portuguese speaking candidates are highly encouraged to apply
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, compassionate, and patient-centered attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
- Basic knowledge of eye anatomy, ophthalmic equipment, and testing procedures preferred
- Experience with EMR systems is a plus, but not required
- Ophthalmology or medical office experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Desire to learn and grow within the Ophthalmology field
