We are seeking a highly experienced Liens Collection Specialist to serve as an expert resource managing all aspects of liens-related revenue for our large, fast-paced, multispecialty orthopedic practice. This is a unique opportunity for a professional with deep expertise in liens, personal injury, and no-fault cases to play a critical role in driving revenue recovery and supporting complex case settlements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of liens workflows and will work closely with attorneys, insurance carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate resolution of outstanding balances.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary expert responsible for handling liens-related revenue from start to finish
- Manage and track case settlements, including personal injury, no-fault, and third-party lawsuits
- Oversee and process Letters of Protection (LOP) cases
- Communicate directly with attorneys regarding settlements, balances, and payment status
- Assist with and support lien negotiations to maximize recovery
- Monitor and manage no-fault policy exhaustion and identify policy violations
- Address and resolve no-fault policy violations and denials
- Ensure accurate documentation and follow-up for attorney settlements
- Collaborate with billing, collections, and legal teams to resolve complex accounts
- Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and deadlines
Qualifications
- Proven experience handling liens, no-fault, and personal injury collections (required)
- Strong knowledge of LOPs, third-party lawsuits, and attorney-driven settlements
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex negotiations and high-dollar accounts
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, especially with legal partners
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Experience in orthopedic or multispecialty healthcare settings preferred
