Pay: $25.00-$35.00 / hour
This position is responsible for set-up, programming and operation of robotic welding systems to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable production of high-quality weldments. Below are the responsibilities, qualifications, and physical requirements.
- Program and proof 1st article weldments using ABB Controllers
- Weld according to appropriate procedures, meeting production rates
- Maintain rigorous quality standards, performing visual inspections to ensure 100% conformance to engineering specifications and welding symbols
- Optimize weld paths and cycle times to ensure repeatable, high-quality production of heavy-duty components
- Integrate and troubleshoot robotic welding cells, providing the technical expertise required to resolve complex automation issues
- Partner with the production team to transfer technical knowledge and implement best practices for robotic machine operation
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs on robot-driven equipment to minimize downtime
- Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on robotic welding experience; a robot welding certification is strongly preferred
- Proficiency with ABB controllers. Experience with other controllers and offline programming is a plus
- Strong understanding of MIG welding processes and the ability to read blueprints and pass an internal weld/inspection test
- Capable of taking a new fixture and create a repeatable fabrication path from the ground up
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds repeatedly
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, twist and grip
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
