The laboratory specializes in fluid analysis to help customers dramatically reduce downtime, prevent unexpected equipment failures, extend machinery life, and lower overall maintenance costs.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Colorado Springs, CO, for a Laboratory Technician. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, conducting fluid and oil analyses, performing quality control checks, document and report laboratory findings, and ensuring accurate calibration of instruments. The role will provide support for Shoco Oil’s cutting-edge ISOCLEAN Certified Lubricants Program and day-to-day customer sample testing, contributing to system monitoring and contamination control for a diverse range of industries.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in analytical skills, including data interpretation, and attention to detail
- Detail-oriented mindset and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment with a strong ability to self-manage at times
- Strong laboratory skills, including sample preparation and handling, adherence to testing protocols and analyzing samples with precision
- Knowledge of Quality Control processes, with the ability to ensure compliance with company standards
- Experience with laboratory equipment and calibration of laboratory instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability
- Ability to maintain precise documentation and report findings clearly
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to work collaboratively across teams
- Familiarity with industrial and petroleum applications is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or experienced background in Chemistry, Tribology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
