American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring TX or compact RN licensure and prior travel nursing experience in a Trauma Level I facility.

Work in the General Operating Room of a Trauma Level I hospital
-
Perform surgical procedures across Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology specialties
-
1:1 patient ratio
-
Uses Epic for charting
-
4x10 hour day shifts, 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM Sat/Sun and 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM Monday (3 shifts per week)

No call requirements

Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission

BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred

Prior travel nursing experience required

Experience in Epic charting required

Trauma Level I hospital experience required

Experience required in Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology surgical procedures

Experience with Davinci Robotics, endovascular, and ophthalmology procedures preferred
-
Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across multiple surgical specialties including vascular, neuro, general, orthopedic, and urologic cases

Complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing

Complete non-billable onboarding modules onsite during orientation (RN average 4-6 hours)

Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not eligible for this position

Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted

Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

All RTO must be submitted and listed at time of consideration

No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation
