Latitude Transportation is seeking an experienced, safety-focused Commercial Box Truck Driver (26-ft) to join our growing team as a 1099 Independent Contractor. This position is ideal for dependable drivers who value independence, professionalism, and safe operations while completing overnight local and regional deliveries.

Key Responsibilities
Safe Transportation
- Safely operate a 26-ft commercial box truck equipped with air brakes.
- Complete local and regional deliveries safely and on schedule.
- Load, unload, and properly secure freight to prevent damage.
Vehicle Safety & Maintenance
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean and professional vehicle.
DOT Compliance
- Follow all DOT, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Maintain all required DOT certifications and documentation.
- Follow company safety procedures at all times.
Documentation
- Complete delivery documentation and electronic manifests accurately using the company's ELD/mobile application (personal smartphone with reliable cellular service required).
- Obtain customer signatures and delivery confirmations through the mobile application.
- Immediately report accidents, delays, vehicle issues, or safety concerns.
Customer Service
- Provide courteous, professional service at every stop.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations.
- Support warehouse and loading activities when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using ELD or delivery management applications.
- Warehouse, freight handling, or route delivery experience.
- Experience operating lift gates or pallet jacks.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license (CDL not required).
- 7 – year Motor Vehicle Record required along with application.
- Active DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift and pull up to 75 pounds.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Hiring Requirements
- Successfully pass a background check.
- Pass a DOT drug screening.
