Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, in collaboration with our physicians, to provide care to new or established patients. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care across a variety of clinical settings, utilizing your advanced clinical skills and extensive medical knowledge. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive assessments, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in an outpatient clinic, ensuring optimal health outcomes for a wide range of patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and identify medical issues.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state laws and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring compliance with DEA regulations.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations utilizing an EMR system, order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures including sonography and medical imaging.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties including critical care, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, infectious disease care, and pain management.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines to coordinate patient care plans to ensure seamless transitions of care.
- Instill confidence in each patient acting as their advocate by providing safe, ethical care and health education to the patient and their family in a manor that they can understand.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) while maintaining HIPAA compliance; utilize CPT coding for billing purposes.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current certification to practice independently or under collaborative practice agreements.
- Demonstrate experience working in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine, emergency room, ICU/Level I & II trauma centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities or outpatient clinics.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology (including medication administration), and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Background in oncology, critical care, post-acute care or hospice & palliative medicine is advantageous.

Pay: From $115,000.00 per year
