Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store activities, including sales, inventory control, and customer service.
- Lead and supervise team members to ensure high standards of customer care, merchandising, and store cleanliness.
- Manage employee orientation, training & development programs to foster a knowledgeable and motivated workforce.
- Handle shift management and cash handling procedures to maintain operational efficiency.
- Oversee inventory management processes such as stock replenishment, pricing adjustments, and inventory audits.
- Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, returns, and refunds while ensuring accuracy in cash handling and bookkeeping.
- Promote a positive team environment through effective communication skills, leadership, and supervising experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, POS systems, cash handling, and retail math.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and handle customer inquiries professionally.
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organizational skills.
- Supervising experience in retail sales or grocery stores is highly desirable.
