EXAMPLE OF DUTIES An employee in this classification in the Department of Public Works performs various work including water main repair, service taps, hydrant and valve repair, water meter services, sanitary and storm sewer services, sign maintenance services, tree service, snow & ice control service, leaf and brush collection services, concrete & asphalt repair services, structure repair services and recreational facilities & grounds maintenance. This employee will operate tractors, dump trucks, trailers and other equipment. The Public Service Worker I may have overtime work as required, is subject to call-in outside normal working hours and performs related duties as assigned. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
- Reasonable knowledge of hand tools and equipment used in municipal maintenance and construction
