Menzner Hardwoods is seeking a qualified individual for a Maintenance Technician role at our Somerset, KY location. This full-time position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
Position Summary:
Responsible for supporting Menzner Hardwoods’ preventative and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. Duties include grounds maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, modification, and installation of plant production equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform and assist with installation, maintenance and repair of production equipment
· Complete scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) activities
· Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and related systems
· Maintain facility grounds and overall site upkeep
· Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA and HAZMAT requirements
· Support efficient plant operations and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies:
· High school diploma/GED required; 2-4 years of related experience preferred
· Mechanical aptitude with skills in plumbing, carpentry, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding
· Basic electrical knowledge preferred
· Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
· Computer literacy required
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks (standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling)
· Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions

Pay: $20.61 - $24.67 per hour
