Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- Assist with mobility and transfers of patients
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report any concerns to the nursing staff
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) in the state of [Maryland]
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to lift and move patients safely using proper body mechanics
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) is beneficial
